PRESS RELEASE 2007
QUAMBATOOK
T & I CENTRES’ / NEW HOLLAND
AUSTRALIAN TRACTOR PULL CHAMPIONSHIPS
EASTER SATURDAY 7th APRIL 2007
High octane intensity explodes into action at Quambatook on Easter Saturday as powerful pulling tractors and trucks battle it out in The Australian Tractor Pull Championships.
While cars dispute the issue of speed over vast distances, nothing compares to the spectacle of modern tractor pulling with its test of brute force. This all takes place just in front of you, all the action can be seen from you vantage point.
For three decades pulling fans have congregated on the town of Quambatook for Australia’s greatest Tractor Pulling events.
If you’re yet to experience the adrenaline rush of a Tractor Pull then Easter Saturday, 7th April 2007 is your chance to witness this great event.
The action starts at 1.30pm and concludes approximately 10pm.
An evening tea break approximately 6.30 allows spectators a chance to get “up close and personal” with the tractors and teams, this halt in proceedings also allows people to take advantage of the many food and refreshment stalls, along with the side show entertainment for all ages.
The Pulling program will commence with the vintage tractors, followed by the highly modified Pulling machines, the open class will see Rolls Royce V12 , Allison V12 and triple big block chevs engines powering these tractors. This only a small part of the great program being offered, as we come to expect the great battles in the mini and open modified classes, they just seem to get better every year. Quamby Quaker will be there, in some form or other it has been here for about 30 years. Smokers, 2WD trucks, Limited Modified, 4WD and 2WD farm tractors will also compete for their respective Australian Championships.
The Quambatook Tractor Pull offers an exciting, heart pumping experience for all the family, on the track and off.
With a country market, carnival rides for the kids and joy flights over the town and local area. Climbing wall for those who like the vertical challenge
Full catering is available throughout the day and evening, leaving no taste bud unturned, Bar facilities on site.
The purpose built Quambatook Tractor Pulling complex is renowned as the best track for competitors and spectators alike. The track side fenced grassy hills provide the safest viewing area which can be enjoyed as is, or bring along a rug or “decky” to enhance your days enjoyment.
A delegated ‘dry area’ tops off an already brilliant atmosphere that guarantees your family a safe and relaxing day out.
For over 8 hours of high octane intensity…your family will be ‘pulling’ you there.
So come along and be part of this unique experience, Easter Saturday
